Chvrches - The Bones of What You Believe

The mother we share will never keep me from listening to this gold craft of everlasting enlightenment. Despite it may be another mainstream synth pop band, I just find it so awesome. In fact it may be almost the only one thing I've been listening to this week(s).

Hey, enjoy it. Because you will.

HAIM - Days Are Gone

Let's forget about my random appearances and focus on good stuff... good music. You know, I kinda miss those days when you meet someone or just a good friend of you says "hey, have you ever heard this band?" Those are the times when you feel like... that's why I have friends for. But now with all these recommendations everywhere... Spotify, iTunes, Last.fm, etc... you loose that special moment of joy, excitement and... I don't know... surprise... incomprehensive delusion... yeah... let's throw on random words to pretend I know English.
Anyway... I know HAIM because of Spotify... ok? Don't judge me. I wish I had friends who listen to this stuff, who actually talk to me about music. So I'm here to talk to you. And HAIM deserves to be talked about. Three girls and incredible talent, makes a wonderful diamond-flashy-light-pure-gold of an indie pop album. Just enjoy... ok? Who am I kidding..? You probably already know them.

By the way... don't bother with the new Arctic Monkeys album... Turner fell into a cycle of productivity going to a dead end... I hope he actually get himself to write new stuff that won't sound like the same song from the last two albums.

Sigur Ros - Takk...

What are you saying? This band is not indie? Pff... what do you know about indie. Actually this post-rock band has more indie than you might think. Maybe this is not their most indie album, but this is the one that changed my life. After discovering Radiohead I thought there's no way I could find something that makes me feel so great of having discovered it. (does that make sense?) You know what I mean. Sigur Ros is awesome. Yes. That's it. Oh and they write stuff in icelandic which makes correcting the spelling of the song titles a pain in the ass. But it's worth it!

Make love listening to this!

Bombay Bicycle Club

It's the first time i don't know which album choose. So I choose them all.
It's been a long time since I discovered these guys, and it was not until yesterday I actually considered having them on my iTunes. I realized that this band has many sounds, one for each album. Being the first one kind of freewill, looking for what they want to do. Flaws, the second one is kind of romantic-comedy-drama soundtrack and the last one, A Different Kind of Fix is more serious, solid. But they are all great. So if you were living under a rock and don't know this band, stop wasting you're time.

There's a few more bands I discovered this week. I'll get to that later. Starting with Sigur Ros.

The Anthem Sound - 4 Songs EP

These guys probably don't fit in this blog, but I thought I should share them with you. It's really sad that 4 songs is everything they have so far. 4 songs EP,  that's the actual title of the EP. It's a short 16 minute experience you shouldn't miss. C'mon... 16 minutes... make me happy... listen to this EP. It's complicated to find, but it's available on Spotify (actually it's easy enough).

Big Scary - Vacation

I won't say this album is awesome, I won't say it's great or nice enough, or so bad that I shouldn't even post it here. And I definitely won't say that this could easily be one of my favorite bands (and I know them for just 2 months). This album is an experience worthy to try, and I want you to make your own conclusions. Gladiator is the first song of the album, so listen to that song anywhere you want (youtube, spotify, last.fm, whatever), if you feel it's worth it, don't doubt it, listen to the full record. I hope this one's gonna stay in your daily library for a long time.

Geographer - Myth

So, I've been studying, and listening to indie, of course. I don't know what's more epic than listening to The Shins while taking the first glimpse at the most anticipated mother of the entire history. Yes, I'm talking about How I Met Your Mother. But this is not about The Shins, but about an awesome band, or artist, that came to me while I was in Omegle with a high guy. Guys, I discovered indietronica, and Geographer does it really good. It just sounds right. I can't take out of my mind Lover's Game. You gotta check this out. You must.

Interpol - Turn On the Bright Lights

I can't take this sound out of my mind. We all love New York City and we all have our reasons. There was Enon and there was Interpol. Who doesn't know Interpol? C'mon! When a friend of mine listened to this record for the first time he said, calmly, taking a deep breath "This is the greatest thing I've listened to since years". What has Interpol that makes them so special? The simplicity. The beauty of simplicity. Who doesn't love simplicity? The next time you walk over Times Square, tune in Interpol.
